Bring your team into partner chats

Owners, and Admins by default, now read and reply in every partner chat; choose which other roles join under Chat access on Members.

FeatureBrandsPartnersDashboard

Bring your team into every chat with your partners, and choose which roles join, in Chat.

Until this week, Chat belonged to the account that created the brand: invited team members, owners included, had no Chat in their menu. Now Owners are always in your partner chats, Admins join by default, and you decide whether Members and Viewers join too.

How it works

  • Set once per program: Chat access on Members applies to every partner chat of the program.
  • By role: Owners always, Admins by default, Members and Viewers when you tick them. Viewers read only.
  • Names, not emails: your side sees who wrote each message and their role.

Choose who joins

Open Members from the program menu and find Chat access. Owners are ticked and marked Always. Tick Admins, Members or Viewers, then click Save. Only an Owner or Admin can change it.

Everyone you let in gets Chat in their menu and every partner conversation of that program. Each message shows who on your team wrote it and their role, and your own messages sit on the right.

Find and follow chats

The All menu above the inbox switches to Unread. Search looks through partner and program names under Conversations, and message text under Messages. A message result opens the chat at that message, with Jump to latest to return.

In this conversation lists your team in the chat with their roles. Its Mute and Mark as unread change only your own inbox. Partners get the same inbox, search, Mute and Mark as unread at affitor.com/partner/chat.

Since October 20, each side of Chat lists only its own conversations, every message from your team sits on the right in your view, and partners see your brand's name instead of who on your team wrote. Since October 25, conversation details open in a centered window, or a sheet on phones.

Change it later

Change who joins any time under Chat access. Unticking a role takes its members out of that program's partner chats.

Conclusion

Your partner chats now include the people who run the program with you. Learn more by opening Chat, and write to support@affitor.com with any question.
